Living Safely With Wildlife

Some residents of Issaquah Highlands may not have seen much wildlife here, except for the neighborhood dog, while other neighbors have seen deer, black bears, and cougars in our community. Safety is an important aspect of co-existing with wildlife in our backyards. Here is where you will find information about why garbage stored outside attracts bears to our neighborhoods, what to teach your children to do if they see a bear, how to safely walk your dog on the trails and what to do if you find an orphaned or injured animal.
